In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
 
To All Believers in North America, 
Peace be upon you all. 
 
The Department of Humanitarian Services at I.M.A.M. humbly requests all believers who are able to lend a helping hand to support the hundreds of thousands of people who have left their homes and cities to save themselves from the persecution of ISIS/ISIL.
Fortunately, there are many charitable groups and organizations that are providing humanitarian services, such as the sacred shrines in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala. However, there is still a dire need for humanitarian aid, especially if one takes into account the number of those who have been driven from their homes. Right now, the number of displaced residents is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands. Having left everything behind, they have been forced to reside in the suburbs of these holy cities, oftentimes in tents, and now winter is at their doorstep. 
Among the active organizations that are providing humanitarian aid to alleviate this dire situation is Al-AYN Social Care Foundation (ASCF), an organization that is under the supervision of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani (may Allah prolong his life) and which works closely with I.M.A.M. in providing humanitarian services, especially to orphans. 
In the hopes that they may encourage your cooperation and support, the Al-AYN Organization has provided a visual report showing some of their humanitarian relief efforts that have been given to those who have left their homes in order to save themselves and their families from the criminal activities and blood-shed perpetrated by ISIS/ISIL. (Click here to view the short video)
AL-AYN has the religious authorization to receive all forms of religious dues, such askhums and sadaqa (charity). Therefore, the believers are encouraged to make such contributions, with the knowledge that their donation gifts will go towards humanitarian relief through the Al-AYN Charitable Organization for Social Development.
